PART 1: INFLUENCE

  • Followers on 1/20: 0 –> Followers on 4/20: 39
    • Percent growth (since I started at 0 and that would lead to a % growth that isn’t a real number, let’s say I started with 1): 3,800%
  • Klout score on 1/20: 0 –> Klout score on 4/27: 29
    • Analysis: My end Klout score is a little lower than I would’ve liked it to be, and I think I could’ve upped this if I interacted with other classmates more instead of simply following the tweet assignments bluntly.
  • What worked
    • Visuals in tweets
    • Captions relatable to class
    • Sense of humor
  • What didn’t
    • Tweets without pictures
    • Not interacting with other users
    • Often only using #NHsmc hashtag

I just tried to use some humor in this one since I was missing class.

 

Some of the best skills I picked up from class were how to engage other audiences on Twitter with hashtags. I have been very active on Twitter since I started college, so I already knew about things like using pictures to catch people’s attention and such, but Professor Grygiel helped me go a bit beyond that. I could have used smarter hashtags based on my tweets and ones that were more common so they could end up in more social threads. Overall, I think I could’ve followed more people to increase my engagement with the assumption that they would follow me back.
