Modern social media has changed the game when it comes to our online relationships and how we interact with different brands and companies on social media. There has been a massive shift in the way we consume media, and social media is at the forefront of that shift. In the past, consumers turned toward professional journalists and editors, in print or on television, to get their news, but now we simply turn to our social media outlets and get live updates on events that are going on around the world. While we still pay attention to and trust what professional journalists are doing, we are starting to get our news from different sources because of how available social media is to a variety of different influencers.
But modern social media are impacting our relationships on a personal level as well. Most individuals online are primarily concerned with their close set of friends and relatives when it comes to social media. We interact with each other in different ways using different social media platforms. We take information that is globally available and share it with our individual tribes of followers and see how different people react to stories and information.

I wrote about something similar when it comes to interacting with people off social media. I 100% agree with this because I do think that Social Media has an impact on the relationships that we look to keep in tact. I like the positive look on Social Media relationships at the end. I love sharing something I like to my Twitter/Facebook followers/Friends because then they understand who I am on that platform and are more willing to enjoy the post.
