UFC 197 is around the corner and in the MMA world this is a big deal. We get to see the return of Jon Jones (who was previously arrested for a hit-and-run incident and other traffic violations). Here are six tweets that featured some heavy traffic for #ufc197.

@UFCONFOX jones must toughen his chin for that match 👊🏼

As you can see, #ufc197 is mainly focused on Jon Jones. Despite 20 plus fighters competing that night Jon Jones is the heavy focus. @muskkey says that Jones must tough his chin and @jordan13ates believes that Jones’s toughest challenge is this Saturday. As an MMA journalist, it is very interesting to see the entire hashtag of #ufc197 be heavily focused on one fighter since it’s an “event” and not a sole focus of one fighter.
Very interesting topic. It’s obvious that UFC is gaining more national support and attention when you see UFC fighter’s names trending and UFC fights or events as trending hashtags. I’m curious as to why Jon Jones’ fight was trending? Was it just because this is his return fight or is it because of something else? I would’ve liked to read more on your analysis of this hashtag and Jon Jones, but it was still a solid post!
