Social media has made me much more self-aware. I am conscious about how I come off to the people of the internet and I am constantly learning new things about myself. If I look back at all the things I have posted or liked, it shows what I am most interested in, and what I spend my time looking at. A lot of which is memes of animals or sleep deprivation,
i.e.
which is very telling because I procrastinate my homework by looking at these kinds of things, in turn making my nights longer and my sleep schedule all wonky. I have also matured with social media, as interesting as that sounds. I joined Facebook in 2009 and unfortunately that means that I was 12 years old, and the things I riddled my page with was more than embarrassing and nonsensical. (apparently this girl feels the same way)
My old Facebook statuses be so embarrassing 😩😩😩can't believe I said some of that stuff smh

Thankfully I have grown up and gained social media etiquette. Having multiple platforms of social media has given me many outlets to get information like news and trends. I probably wouldn’t be as up to date with what is going on in the world if my accounts and the people I follow weren’t shoving it in my face 24/7, which is honestly a good thing because I don’t keep up with the news on television as much as I should. I don’t think I have ever realized how much social media has changed me and shaped me as a person.
