@achellas Viral Content Wrap Up

Overall, I believe my content did well when it comes to engagements.  Through my campaign, I had many views on Imgur, as well as many clicks through my promoted Twitter campaign, and even some on my organic tweet.

I started out with the following objectives:

  • Want to get as much engagement at possible with this content
  • Possibly spread my name on Twitter through this piece of content
  • Make people laugh

Initially I was a bit apprehensive on how people would receive my content.  I had many ideas and wasn’t sure which would be the best when it came to virality.  As I mentioned in my marketing plan I wanted something that a lot of people could relate to or understand.  Though my content specifically speaks to women, it is something many men have seen and were able to relate to as well.

I believe what led to the success of my content was my targeting for the campaign.  I was thinking of people who primarily run into the situation of waiting in line for the bathroom, which happens a lot in bars and clubs, so I first targeted those who drink alcoholic beverages. Along with that I targeted millennials, and those who enjoy shopping, fashion, food, etc. After looking at what audiences were actually reached by my campaign, I learned it was primarily men (55%), people who liked comedy, music, and action & adventure.
