Objective
My meme titled “Adulting is Hard” follows a common meme trend about struggling to balance what is going on in one’s life, which was inspired by the meme below. My meme is specific and relatable to what college students are going through since they were my main audience for the campaign. My objective for my meme was to receive at least 500 views on Imgur.

Analysis
My meme was original in its conent, for none of my classmates created a derivative of my meme. The final engagement was 776 views of my meme on Imgur, which surpassed my objective. To measure my objective, I viewed my meme under images in my Imgur account. The number of views appeared at the top of my image. What worked the most in promoting my Imgur link was when and where I posted. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and GroupMe were good in reaching my audience. Since Imgur doesn’t show real time views, I would check 24 hours after each post to see my change in views, which steadily increased after each post. To trace where my Imgur meme views came from, I used analytic tools specific to each platform. I used Twitter Analytics and Squarelovin to measure impressions/engagement on my Twitter and Instagram posts. For Facebook and GroupMe, I analyzed how many views/likes my post recieved to estimate the impact on my Imgur meme views. I followed my editorial calendar to promote my Imgur link, which meant promoting my link on one platform per day, running from November 3 to November 5. After my four posts, I didn’t have the engagement to reach my objective. What didn’t work was that my audience on each platform was mostly the same people. To reach a broader audience, I promoted my meme on Tumblr and Reddit, which eventually helped me surpass my objective. To meet my objective, I had to diversify my audience, which meant posting on different platforms.
