NFL Linebacker Reuben Foster was released by the 49ers after he was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor domestic violence, in which he allegedly verbally and physically abused his girlfriend. Three days after Foster’s arrest The Washington Redskins signed Foster off of waivers. Needless to say, this was a very controversial signing by the Redskins. This signing set the twitter community on fire as the majority of fans and people were disgusted by the Redskin’s signing of Reuben Foster and couldn’t believe he was still allowed to play in the NFL. However there is a small minority in the twitter community that support the Redskins and believe that Foster doesn’t deserve to lose his job in the NFL yet because in the United States you are innocent until proven guilty. The #ReubenFoster has created a lot of noise on twitter ever since he was signed by the Redskins. It is also important to note that morals of the Washington Redskins have been in question for quite sometime, due to the fact that they won’t change their name, which is already very offensive, so this didn’t help.
I'm all for throwing domestic abusers out of the league, but this #ReubenFoster case is different. The woman charging him made similar claims in February, but case was dismissed b/c she lied under oath (see pic). He deserves his day in court and chance to play football until then pic.twitter.com/6jbZO4y1Wm

The above tweet is showing someone who is very against domestic violence, but believes that there is more to this story and that Foster should get a chance to defend himself before being thrown out of the NFL.
Somewhere Urban Meyer is giving the @Redskins a big ole “Atta Boy” #ReubenFoster

The above tweet is from someone who is clearly against the Redskin’s decision to sign Reuben Foster, as she compares this situation to the recent Ohio State domestic abuse scandal.
The Redskins claiming Rueben Foster is disgraceful and their statement on their reasoning is shameful. Absolutely shameful. https://t.co/z1Mut0rD1A

The above tweet is from another person who is truly disgusted by the Redskin’s decision to sign Reuben Foster and is even more disgusted by the Redskin’s statement on their reasoning.
Interesting that the #Redskins would pick up domestic violence RB #ReubenFoster from San Francisco but have no interest in talking to outstanding civic-minded dude #ColinKaepernick to try to shore up their QB situation.

The above tweet is also from someone who is clearly against the Redskins decision to sign Foster. He brings up an interesting point about how mind-blowing it is that civil rights advocate Colin Kaepernick remains unemployed, while potential domestic abuser Reuben Foster remains employed.
Colin Kaepernick is out of the NFL because our society tolerates violence against black men.
Reuben Foster is in the NFL because our society tolerates violence against women.

The above and below tweet are two opposing views on the situation. The bottom tweet is actually replying to the top tweet. The Top tweet is against the Reuben Foster signing, but also makes very bold statements about our society. The publisher of the bottom tweet strongly disagrees with the top tweet, as The bottom tweet defends the Redskins signing of Foster, as this person thinks that Foster deserves due process for his charges and shouldn’t be kicked out of the NFL until proven guilty.
False.#Kaepernick is out of the NFL because he sucks and doesn’t qualify to be anything higher than 3rd string.#ReubenFoster is in the NFL because he hasn’t been convicted of any crime and deserves due process for the charges against him.
What an ignorant take… https://t.co/vKxo3E1i7S
