“A Quiet Place” follows a family who must live in silence in order to evade creatures who hunt by sound. Since the premiere of the horror film, moviegoers have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. Many tweets praised 15-year-old actress Millicent Simmonds who plays Regan in the film. The character Regan is deaf and she is portrayed by a deaf actress. Many tweets noted the importance of this representation in film.

Another lead in the movie, John Krasinski is famous for his role as Jim Halbert on the Office. This led to many tweets referencing the cult classic as a crossover with the movie.

The scariest part of the #QuietPlace was when I grabbed a baby carrot just before the movie started and had to hold it in my mouth for 20 mins before there was a loud enough sound for me to chew it.

There were, of course, the occasional critics who found the film to be unenjoyable.

It seemed however that most poor experiences came from noisy popcorn chewers or chatty neighbors in the theatre. Overall the general feedback was positive with many users encouraging even horror movie novices to see the film.
