Social Media has allowed me to create a personal brand for myself. I decide what can and cannot be put online for the world to see. With this “power” comes great responsibility. In just 3 months, I will be entering the professional world and I must monitor what is on ALL of my online profiles. Who knows if and when companies will be checking out my Twitter or Facebook page. Will they like what they see? Will they find me to be a professional person? Social media has caused me to be a tad paranoid even when there is nothing to be paranoid about. Social media has also allowed me to always stay well-informed. Whether it’s regarding what’s going on in the political world, how my friends job interview went, social media provides me with an outlet for knowledge that I have never been able to access before. Let’s face it. Scrolling through my Twitter newsfeed is a lot more exciting than picking up a newspaper and looking for that news story that interests me most. With just a quick click, I am able to open up an article, my bffs vacation photo album and even change the way my audience sees me through a profile picture and cover photo. It can’t be fully put into words how much social media has had an impact on my life.

To everybody caught up in #socialmedia storms about #politics. A quick thought, do #Memes and #emojis ever really change peoples' minds? pic.twitter.com/aA7fHMd8tr
