On October 2, 2018 journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed. After growing close to the Saudi Royal Family and serving as an advisor he fled to the United States and wrote a monthly column for the Washington Post criticizing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He was visiting the consulate in Turkey when he entered the building never to be seen again. The Saudi government claimed that the killing happened outside the consulate and was carried out by rogue operatives. This sparked debate as President Trump has been vocally supportive of the controversial Saudi Prince in the past. Since then an audio recording of the killing has surfaced with many calling for the President to take action, his response was that the killing is merely a result of a ‘vicious world”.
The tweets below are all from people calling for Trump and his advisors to act on the video and hold the Saudi government responsible.

The following tweets are people who believe the whole story is fake news and see it as a way for the left to undercut the President.
If only the fake news media cared about the Benghazi murders like they pretend to about #Khashoggi who gives a shit? I don't!

This final tweet takes a similar stance but also points to the lack of coverage of other journalists who have been killed
Excellent. Please share it far+wide. I love how you are more concerned with #Khashoggi than the 40 other dead journalists this year (no mention), and fall for hoaxes harder than you care about American lives. You truly have redefined in spectacular fashion what a “centrist” is!
