Drake dropped his new hit single Nice For What over a week ago, and everyone’s loving it. This song features Emma Roberts, Tiffany Hadish, Tracee Ellis Ross, Isa Rae, Zoe Saldana, and Olivia Wilde, among many other influential, fierce women. It features all of them in beautiful outfits in powerful settings and positions. Carrie Batten writer for the New Yorker says, the song is “a joyful women’s-empowerment anthem…about how hard women work and how little they owe the men in their lives.“You gotta be nice, for what?”, he asks.” I couldn’t agree more. In this blogpost you’ll find tweets appreciative of his song and some who interpreted it in another direction.
Drake a smart dude. Ladies gonna eat this joint up. Song premise, hook and all. Never struggled to have women be nice to me, so I don’t have an issue with the any of it lol. #NiceForWhat

This guy made the song about himself rather than women. #opposingview
Thank you @Drake for blessing us with so many beautiful examples of badass women in the #niceforwhat video 🙏🏽 I legit screamed when I saw @mistyonpointe 😭

Appreciation for the new national anthem for women is shown by this tweet.
I’m deeply concerned w/today’s youth. Too many girls asking me “So #Drake sampled #cardib’s song for #NiceForWhat?”
Monday 8am, I’ll be delivering a dissertation on The Miseducation of #LaurynHill. I advise you call everyone you know, tune in, listen & learn. #danacortezshow— DanaCortez (@DanaCortez) April 7, 2018
This person believes the song received too much talk about who’s in it rather than the message. #opposingview
#niceforwhat got me realizing that i have felt responsible for being nice to men bc i thought being nice was good but often times it was being nice that hurt me most

Who’s more powerful than Queen B?
I wouldn’t start your first sentence by saying “everyone’s loving it” when you clearly have an opposing view in the post. I appreciate how you focused the conversation around women empowerment. It would’ve been cool to link to the actual song which is what most people will be looking for when clicking on a post like this.
I really like that you chose to focus on Drake’s new song because it’s so popular and it is in a way a feminist anthem! I feel like this would’ve been easier to read if you categorized the tweets by headers. Right now it sort of just looks like a list of different tweets. Maybe include some more of your own opinions?
