In light of racist events and hate speech splattered across Syracuse University, students, faculty, news outlets, and more are posting #NotAgainSU. The hashtag calls for Syracuse University Administration to effectively handle these hate crimes unlike past incidents including the assault on Ackerman Avenue and the Theta Tau fraternity scandal.
After a white supremacist manifesto airdropped to students’ phones in Bird Library, @BikoMandelaGray talked about ignorance.
Whiteness sees a white supremacist manifesto and sees “no direct threat.” #NotAgainSU

Students discussed the problem of attending class. @_pajamis_ posted a copy of her professor’s email and applauded him for addressing the issue that not canceling class creates further marginalization.
i dont want to get my professor fired so i didn't put his name, but he just emailed this to the class and i want to thank him for using his power for good and not being a bystander. THIS is how you be an ally and make a change. #NotAgainSU pic.twitter.com/mtd3yxnYeL

@JennMJack canceled class and urged students shouldn’t have to feel unsafe.
I have canceled my physical class tomorrow and opted for a virtual class meeting via Blackboard's discussion board. I have also changed my meetings with teaching and research assistants to virtual (online or via phone). No one should have to be on campus right now. #NotAgainSU

Instead of addressing white supremacy or tweeting about class, other students decided to directly address the chancellor. @GinaStinnett said Chancellor Kent Syverud talked more about his new puppy than the recent events.
Kent was more vocal about his new puppy last fall than he is about the current threats to student safety. #NotAgainSU

@BeingLiam exposed Channcellor Kent Syverud for failing to “do better.”
Five years ago to this moment , THE General Body was entering its second week of a sit-in in Crouse-Hinds Hall, the admin building.
On Nov 12, 2014, the brand new Chancellor Kent Syverud made a statement: "We will do better," he promised.
He lied. He's still lying #NotAgainSU pic.twitter.com/2h9iGAJO3q

Syracuse is no newbie to racist events, and those who stand with the movement won’t have it happen again. #NotAgainSU
