#ReasonsHumansWillGoExtinct

There is a trending hashtag that is going around about #ReasonsHumansWillGoExtinct obviously about people’s views and opinions about how humans will eventually become extinct. While some people are taking the trending hashtag seriously, there are some others who are having fun with the issue.

The one side of the issue are people who are taking the issue seriously in relation to the way we treat our planet and how we as humans are misusing our resources. For example, the following tweet by peta2, which features an article to inform people how they are harming the earth. Also they were able to directly speak to the reader by saying “(YES YOU!).” This could show a more serious view.

There are also other people who are taking the issue seriously by tweeting out how the human race will be extinct thanks to the lack of care for the environment. While this tweet by Austin Braun is more serious than this political cartoon tweeted by Rick Key, both opinions are portraying a similar view.

However there are others who are more concerned with making fun of the issue by tweeting out material related to “first world problems,” such as this tweet by Jillian Michaels who complains about not having regular chocolate.

Furthermore there are also others who poke fun at the issue with robots taking over the world and of course the classic Trump domination, as one can see with the following tweets by both Nick Arkell and Anonymo.

Either way the hashtag is still getting the word out there and getting people to think about their consequences in relation to climate change and human extinction while allowing people to have fun with the idea. Even funny tweets not about climate change can still bring the idea behind it to the light.

  1. This hashtag sounds funny. However, it makes me think of the theory of natural selection that I studied at high school. Nature will reward the individuals adapted better to the environments with survival. No one knows what we are in the future.
