The NFL this season has been littered with controversy. Most notably the National Anthem. Many African American players have chosen to kneel during the anthem as a way to protest color inequality in the United States. This has obviously caused plenty of problems for the league. Thousands have weighed in across social media, some saying this is a good thing for the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
The #NFL, where #whiteprivilege gets u $4M & a coverup, but a black man gets cut 4 kneeling during the anthem. #JoshBrown #blacklivesmatter

Kneeling for the National Anthem on the #NFL field good.
Honoring fallen police officers on the #NFL field bad.

Colin Kaepernick is one of the athletes that kneels during the anthem.
Colin Kaepernick could've thrown 6 ints yesterday and I still would've been proud of him. #nfl #blacklivesmatter

Others believe it is disrespectful to kneel during the anthem that represents all of the people who have died for this country, and those who fight for it.
#boycottnfl Oppressed, cop hating, disrespectful, #NFL players who protested during the national anthem in Week 9 https://t.co/PyvZHrCMZd

Watched the #MLB #WorldSeries game last night. Not 1 player kneeled during the national anthem. I think I'll keep watching. #boycottNFL #NFL
