Goals and Objectives
In my marketing plan, my goal for the “#StopAsianBowlCuts” Social Media Campaign was for my content to be appreciated by anyone who has ever had a bad haircut or relates to my tweets or meme in anyway. I hoped that this would be shared widely among my target audience and I would measure that through obtaining interaction. Regarding metrics, my goal for this campaign was to obtain over 15 retweets and 50 likes collectively. I knew that people usually “like” more frequently than “retweet” so this was my goal for impressions. My objective was to create an original meme that would gain popularity and engage my target audience. It seems as if everything put out on the media today becomes viral. However, I have learned that creating a piece of viral content is extremely difficult from this course. I hoped to use the skills I’ve gained from COM 427 to plan a piece of content that would reach over 500 views on Imgur.

Campaign Analysis
When looking at Twitter Analytics, I saw that my promoted tweet received 18 impressions and 8 engagements. It was interesting for me to see that my first tweet that I launched for this campaign on April 4th received the most interactions, with 191 impressions and 15 engagements. It was discouraging to see that I was very far from my goal to obtain over 15 retweets and 50 likes collectively. I only received 1 retweet and 6 likes between the 6 tweets I created throughout this campaign. This shows me that my audience did not relate with the content of these tweets. However, I was definitely able to create an original meme that reached over 500 views on Imgur. I was pleased to see that my target audience found this content engaging and entertaining. I received two positive comments, which shows that the audience was able to relate to and interact with my meme. I am very proud of this campaign because I know how hard it is to create a piece of viral content!
