These days, it feels as though Lena Dunham trends on Twitter faster than you can remember what she did the last time to make pop culture news. Dunham, known for her work as a writer, creator, and actor on the HBO series Girls, can be… problematic to say, the least. In a new story by The Cut, Dunham “comes to terms” with her actions that have made the public heated in the past. Most have already formed their opinions of Dunham over the varied controversial things she’s said since being in the limelight. But others are still giving her the opportunity to redeem herself:
A tweet that illustrates a user’s thoughts on Dunham’s childhood story from her memoir that described her sexually assaulting her infant sister…
Isn’t this the bitch that finger-banged her own infant, unwilling sister…? Maybe someone should psychoanalyse her instead, figure that shit out 🤷🏽♂️ #lenadunham #insest https://t.co/ew7ngEjzBt

Some more comments on the Dunham profile, which was impeccably written. However, it should be the last time we hear about Dunham for a while. Will it be? Probably not.
I'm convinced that the second screenshotted paragraph in the attached tweet from the recent Lena Dunham profile is like some form of Lovecraftian incantation/word-magic that triggers a bottomless and irredeemable madness in its reader. #lenadunham #wtf #hellworld https://t.co/OLySvKytJv

Jack Antonoff, a popular singer/songwriter/producer/all-around-awesome frontman of band, Bleachers, previously was in a long term relationship with Dunham. They’re relationship is still rather…interesting.
#LenaDunham said she's disappointed that her ex-boyfriend #JackAntonoff is dating someone "normal" looking. https://t.co/ua49vGjxNn

So if you’re curious as to who is encouraging her to continue to continue this behavior?
#LenaDunham seems to be deeply, even dangerously, disturbed yet surrounded by enabling 'friends,' family, show-biz colleagues and predatory journalists who seem fixated on the most trivial aspects of her breakdown. @NYMaghttps://t.co/XxhhYHlX3u via @thecut

As a part of the article, she mentioned her Fibromyalgia as the reason for some of her manic-esque moments. The Fibro community did not like it when they heard that.
Lena Dunham being "the face of Fibromyalgia" would be such a kick in the guts.
Let's.. let's not let Lena Dunham be the face of anything, ok? Ok.#Fibromyalgia #lenadunham— Patty, Krabby. (@garbage_citizen) November 26, 2018
But look! Someone willing to accept her change of heart!
Poor #LenaDunham. Nothing a little TLC can't fix. We all know what she really needs? "Change your heart, look around you. Change your heart, it will astound you." – The Korgis ("Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime"). For now, @Rabbimetz's Wednesday Torah in NYC class can help too. https://t.co/mfTLNCIljA

And look, another person willing to let her multiple chances slide. With their hopes, like many, that she begins to learn from her mistakes.
I just finished this very thoughtful piece. I don’t think she deserves pitchforks, but I wish everyone was given this many chances in life. Hopefully she starts to learn from her mistakes. #LenaDunham https://t.co/zrEjooOL19

All in all, I think Dunham has some room to grow. There are more than a few skeletons in her closet, though she has always enjoyed laying out her dirty-laundry for all to see. I’m sure by the end of this, she might even be trending again.
