Every year when April rolls around there is one thing that goes through a hockey fans mind, and that is the NHL Playoffs. Whether you’re from Canada and you grew up playing on the pond or reside in the United States where you had those early morning drives to the rink, the playoffs halts everyones attention as they sit for hours and expect the unexpected.

This year, the unexpected is the Las Vegas Golden Knights as they are in the first season after establishing a roster in this summers Expansion Draft. After winning the West, the craziness has continued as they just completed a 4 game sweep on the LA Kings.

Although Vegas is paving the path for future expansion teams as they continue to write an unwritten story, there are plenty of teams remaining who can ruin their Cinderella run. Teams who have the ability to rain on their parade:

Between these three teams and the handful remaining, the Golden Knights have their work cut out for them, but with an already unprecedented season, who is to say the unexpected will not continue?
My prediction: Pittsburgh beats Vegas 4-2 in Stanley CupΒ
