I have had a blast going on Twitter and using #NHsmc. Through the use of the hashtag I have received a lot of engagement in many of my tweets. After a thorough look through Twitter Analytics I have compiled my top ten tweets of the semester. A common theme for this set of tweets is the month of April, where I shined the most. I had all of my top ten tweets come from April 2016. This is probably because I had so much practice at tweeting that the last month I was able to use all I learned to have my best ones for the month of April.
In 24 IP this season @jlew21_ has a 2-0 record, a 0.37 ERA & 20 SO. Reminds me of last year when he pitched well for @PioneersPGCBL #NHsmc

We start off on April 18th. This tweet about baseball pitcher Justin Lewis was the best tweet in terms of engagements throughout the semester. This tweet had his twitter handle tagged but also his summer league team’s twitter handle as well. Since he liked the tweet, all of his follower base had a chance to go and see the tweet as well.
A thrill to watch 2 #FinalFour's this past weekend. Love the gutsy play of the women who had an amazing run. #NHsmc pic.twitter.com/ZkXrIzF0Qj

This tweet on the Syracuse Women’s Basketball team making a run to the final four came in second in the top tweets of the semester. The hashtag #FinalFour I can say had a lot to do with this. Also a lot of my followers come from Syracuse since I go to SU. They maybe were exposed to the tweet and were able to do a little engaging with it as well.

The next best tweet came from my Twitter campaign earlier this semester. This was one of the best tweets from that campaign actually with more than 2700 impressions. There were hashtags, Twitter handles and links on the tweet which help it succeed. Also the fact that it was promoted helped get it as many impressions and engagements as it did.
Being able to work for the @PioneersPGCBL was the one of greatest thrills of my life. #WayupIfeelblessed #NHsmc pic.twitter.com/BfWU4HyBNn

Way up I feel really blessed about this tweet. With nearly 300 impressions and 32 engagements, this is a tweet I was really proud of. This one also has a couple of hashtags here to help it get some attention in the twitter-sphere. I also tagged the summer league team I worked with last year to the tweet and I think it helped a lot that they liked the tweet to give it exposure to their follow base.
How about a big hand to @ayshaseedat for helping to get buses of students to both #FinalFour games this weekend. Great SA president! #NHsmc

So I was happy that SU was able to get so many people down to Houston for the Final Four. Because of that I had to give kudos to the person who helped set it all up, classmate of mine Aysha Seedat, who serves as Student Association President at SU. This one had the Twitter handle tag but also the class hashtag and since she engaged with it a lot of my classmates were able to see our interaction. I believed that helped it be one of the best tweets of the semester.
In this #WaybackWednesday I saw Tyler Roberson put up a career day at the dome https://t.co/jaRAKuuGwT #NHsmc

This I used as a #waybackwednesday post on Twitter. And it had a couple of hashtags but I think what helped put it over the top was the Youtube video I embedded to the tweet. People here can see a visually more appealing tweet and can watch a video while not having to click the link which made it easy to engage with.
Look at this collage I made of the best team in the world. #LetsGoKnicks @nyknicks #NHsmc https://t.co/hikSaqsagr https://t.co/ht2MScGHzr

Another tweet from my twitter campaign. This one didn’t do as well as the one from earlier. I don’t know If I promoted it correctly which made the tweet suffer a little more than the other one. I still am happy with the near 250 engagements on the tweet. It did have a couple of hashtags and a Twitter Handle tag on it to really help it stand out.
Thanks to @nytimes Social Editor @tminsberg for speaking in my #Socialmedia class this afternoon. Gave a lot of great insight. #NHsmc

So Talya Minsberg spoke to our class over video chat and it was very insightful and eye opening about the possibilities of the jobs you can do because of social media. Well I decided to thank her on Twitter and the tweet did fairly well when it came to impressions. I not only tagged her but also the NY Times as a way to try and get some likes out of them but it didn’t come to fruition. I did get a like from her which I did enjoy and the hashtag #socialmedia couldn’t have hurt.
Let's strive to have more real social interaction with people. #socialmedia #NHsmc https://t.co/FenRZsm1Li

Here was a promotion of an article I wrote regarding social media and how it has helped decrease social interaction. I used #socialmedia and a link to the article to try to get engagements with it and it helped a little. All of the engagements came from the clicks to the link of the website which is what I wanted most ultimately.
I'm loving the trophy emoji on the #NationalChampionship hashtag. Great work @twitter all #NCAATOURNAMENT long with the emoji's. #NHsmc 🍊🍊
— Kevin Ryans (@OfficialKevRy) April 6, 2016
I really like emoji’s so I put them into this tweet and it helped it get some impressions. I also believe people love the emoji’s as well, especially the emoji of the team you are rooting for, which is why I chose the Orange emoji for this post. This tweet was published during the Final Four so not only did I use #NationalChampionship, I went a long and used #NCAATournament to try to get more broader and overall engagement and impressions. That I believed helped it crack the top ten tweets of the semester.
