Despite reservations, random ideas for the cast. Adam Driver as Spike, has the physical presence + acting chops, Ellen Wong as Faye, really liked her in Scott Pilgrim where she was slightly unhinged like Faye is, Dave Bautista as Jet, no brainer & Sadie Sink as Ed. #CowboyBebop pic.twitter.com/JA5hq2ZE0D

With the recent announcement of Netflix’s live action mini-series retelling of Cowboy Bebop, many twitter users have been voicing their concerns. There is some excitement for the classic animated movie to be translated into a modern show, however many people using the hashtag to critique.
As @Andy_peachy said, there is worry that the cast won’t reflect the cultural make up of the original movie (it’s a Japanese anime about a futuristic society where the cultures have blended). Users like @JoYHsu13 are more peeved that the remake exists as a live action show. Netflix was recently panned for doing the same thing to Death Note (another popular Japanese anime) which they remade as a live action movie to universal panning.
But as @LukeBagshaw4 & @ThatBoiHouth expressed, lots users are just worried the remake will be bad.ย Phrases like “hopefully do this right” and ‘please don’t suck’ litter their tweets and do a lot to paint their portrait as a hopeful fan. But not everyone is skeptical. @popmuertos is so excited they essentially created an original dog meme just because of the movie’s announcement.
