#GlobalWarming: Hoax or Horror?

The presence of global warming in our world was not only recognized as a highly debated issue throughout our last election, but each and every day people argue on the truth behind this matter. Some do all they can to save our planet and stop global warming from occuring, while others don’t believe that this is a legitimate issue but rather a fraudulent claim.

  1. Hi Emily – I loved the subject of your post. I liked that it was timely, as people were discussing global warming in the context of the recent presidential election, but I thought it was great that you picked a specific issue and analyzed it on its own. The hashtag #globalwarming was probably widely used because of the ubiquity of that term, so I think you probably got a good variety of tweets for and against the validity of the issue.

  2. You did a really good job at bringing to light the completely different views on global warming, and the ongoing debate that has been happening in regards to this issue for years. I also really liked how you added tweets from people who were combining one view (not believing in global warming) with another (being a Trump supporter, which showed in the ‘#MAGA’). I have personally not yet met someone who doesn’t think that global warming is a legitimate issue, so reading some of these tweets were intriguing.

  3. I think it was such a great topic to bring up in a post since it is something that is getting worst every day. I think that people not admitting that #globalwarming exists is a real mistake and they will regret it in a few years!

  4. I think you did a great job here outlining the opposing views about this topic because it is something so prevalent in our society. The tweets you have chosen are really interesting because it is uncommon to hear people that don’t believe in this issue.

  5. It’s funny that a lot of people are trying to prove global warming exists because of a warm autumn. These people need to look at the macro trends in global temperatures and storm patterns but I guess whatever goes on Twitter!

  6. I think this was a very interesting topic to choose because it is constantly talked about and is therefore pretty timeless. I was also impressed that you were able to find such clear points of views on the topic. Great job.
