Influence
Twitter Follow Growth:
I started out with 160 followers on Twitter, and by the end of the class I gained 18 followers. I currently have 178 followers, which means I had 11.25% growth. This growth was due to a few different causes. My Twitter account had been inactive for a while, so when I started Tweeting again I both gained and lost followers. I think that the reason I lost some followers is because the content of my Tweets was very different than the content that I used to post. After losing a few followers initially, I began to gain new followers. These new followers were different than the old followers, because they were interested in the new type of content I was posting. They were often more professional users, who has similar interests to me. In terms of what worked and what didn’t, I noticed that different types of tweets got more attention. For example some of my most successful tweets contained pictures, multiple hashtags, and were directed at specific accounts. What didn’t work so well was when I had bland content that didn’t provoke any responses. Below, you can see my Klout score change over 90 days.
