In January 2016, I created a Twitter account. Over the past 3 months, I was able to accumulate 95 followers and my Klout score increased from 24 to 46. I found that using current trending hashtags was instrumental in expanding my social influence in terms of engagement. I also noticed that the creation of lists had a huge impact on increasing my following. I learned that tweeting content that is not trending or relevant to my followers results in minimal engagement. Alternatively, I found success when including different types of media in a tweet.
I have included below what I believe to be my top 10 tweets that demonstrate my social influence. I utilized twitter analytics to select tweets based on engagements, impressions and media variety.

This was easily my most influential tweet. The twitter webcard, use of trending hashtags and promotions made this tweet so successful. Additionally, I think this tweet resonated with a lot of my followers as many are college students in their senior year.

I think the media included in this tweet made it successful as it grabbed my followers attention. I also think that tagging a dance convention and my former dance studio helped expand my reach.

I also think this tweet was successful due to the use of media. It is the perfect pic stitch to use for #TransformationTuesday. I think the hashtags expanded my reach as well as the retweets of the individuals in the photo.

I chose to include this tweet because of the integrated media platforms. This is a snapchat that includes text and two filters. I also think that the timing of the the tweet directly following the Final Four was beneficial.

I chose this tweet because of the twitter native video included. After running analytics on my followers, I found that the majority of them were women. I think that using this analysis to create a video for Valentine’s Day engaged my followers.

I included this tweet because of the media and timeliness. I have many followers who are students at Syracuse University and because the semester is almost over, I think the timing helped the engagement. I think that tagging @SyracuseU would have increased my reach.
Help end sexual assault and join @GirlCodeMvment this Friday from 12-2pm for a walk on the @SyracuseU Quad. #StandStrongSU #NHsmc
— Cristina Pierleoni (@cnpierleoni) April 12, 2016
I selected this tweet because of the original hashtag, #StandStrongSU, and tagged twitter handles. This was one of many tweets in a small campaign with a few other classmates. We created a new hashtag and promoted an event for a cause we are passionate about. I didn’t expect to reach as many likes and impressions as it did, which is another reason why I chose to include it.
#FollowFriday My lovely recruitment team as we kick off rush today! @karagonchar @kelsey_chipman @prisOn_shank #cusegogreek #tridelta #NHsmc

This was one of my first tweets to my twitter account. I think the use of trending hashtags and tagged twitter handles increased my engagements. In addition, the timing of the tweet was planned at start of the event. I think I would have seen more engagements had I tagged accounts with a stronger presence on twitter.
Congrats to my delta sis @JessicaMDunne on her internship @360i for the summer. Proud of you! #summerinternships #NHsmc

I think I saw reasonable engagement with this tweet because it was positive and about one of my followers. Also, I think including the company’s twitter handle impacted the reach. The addition of media, either of photo of my follower or the company logo, would have made this more successful.

The final tweet I included was because of the media variety. This was the first and only GIF I tweeted. I saw less engagements compared to other tweets because I did not have many followers at the time. I think that reposting this GIF would show increased engagement now that I have a stronger following on twitter.
