Part 1:
I created a new twitter account for this course, so I began with 1 follower @jmgrygiel. I was able to gradually gain a respectable amount of followers and as of 11/28 I had 43 followers. This is a 4200% increase. Throughout the course I used various social media techniques to enhance my influence and growth, such as promoted tweets, creative hashtags, photos, engaging influencers, videos and the use of links. I received the most success in the month of November, where I experienced 4,046 Twitter impressions, which was a 15.6% increase from the previous month. I also received 193 profile visits, which is a 31.3% increase from the previous month. I also gained 19 followers in the month of a November. These statistics are very surprising because the number of tweets I published in November decreased by 6.7 %. I think that I was still able to achieve my best statistical month because I practiced quality over quantity. Promoting my tweets for the viral content challenge served me well, as it increased my impressions and my engagements. Throughout the course I have learned numerous things about social media, including what works and what doesn’t. Relevancy works and irrelevancy doesn’t work, in other words the tweets that were the least engaging were the ones that were unrelateable and had no significance to the current time when it was being posted. Timing is everything!

This was my most liked tweet (11). I think that it was very well executed, as I was able to use the humor of the selfie to engage with my audience. I think that this tweet was successful because it was bold and funny.
My hair feels so plain… I need another new hairstyle from @KateFlorin1 or @willyzeits #hairstyling #willvskate #NHsmc pic.twitter.com/CmvaW3pTNe

This tweet was very successful, as the content was very humorous, as it linked to my meme. This was a promoted tweet, which helped increase my reach and the number of impressions, giving more people an opportunity to engage with my meme.
I just want to remind you guys to not be like this GUY, I’M SERIOUS! Check out my hilarious meme to see what Im talking about. And remember… Always grab life by the horns! @imgur #dontbelikethisguy #grablifebythehorns #syracuse #rossjokes #Nhsmchttps://t.co/Mug4tvmpK8

This is my personal favorite tweet, as I was able to engage with the famous screenwriter Michael Weber. Weber liked my tweet, which was a huge honor. I think this tweet was successful because it felt like I was talking to Weber rather than at him. I think that I engaged with Weber on a personal level and I also feel like he enjoyed the humor of my tweet.
I had no idea that @thisisweber, the genius writer behind 500 Days of Summer is a Newhouse Alumni. I love that movie. Hope you can introduce me to @ZooeyDeschanel one day! ##NewhouseNetwork #NHsmc

I think that tweet was successful because of the humor and randomness of the collage. I feel that the two images on the right go very well together. I think that the image collage is a very valuable social media tool that looks very attractive on twitter. I also think the use of the Spanish flag emoji was beneficial.

This tweet was my second most liked tweet throughout the duration of this course. I think that my audience liked it because of its relevance. I knew that the majority of my twitter followers were in this class and that they were trying to find ways to gain more followers, so this link was very relevant to their lives.
I noticed that a lot of my followers were struggling with finding followers of their own. This article should help out! #Happytweeting #NHsmc https://t.co/gBHJEd5tdp

This tweet was well executed, as it allowed me to engage with audience on a personal level and tell them a little about myself and my interests. Using @LeaDiCaprio, @WillFerrel, and @JonahHill in my tweet served me well, as it helped increase the number of impressions.
While there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, it is truly the actors who make the difference in making a great movie. All of my followers should follow my 3 favorite actors: @LeoDiCaprio @WillFerreI and @JonahHill to see what they are up to #followfriday #NHsmc

While this tweet wasn’t as statistically successful as my other ones, its one of my personal favorites because of its relevance to current political and social issues. Tweeting @CraigSilverman was a smart move, as it helped increase the number of impressions. I think that my engagement number would have been higher if the quality of the photo had been better.
Had the pleasure to hear @CraigSilverman from buzzfeed news speak about the truths behind fake news. I learned about how Macedonian people publish fake news for economic reasons, as they make about $300-400 a month from spreading fake news. #journalismmatters #buzzfeed #NHsmc pic.twitter.com/7QplPN17fU

I think that this tweet was very well executed, as I able to connect a GIF with the content of the tweet. I also used emojis and a great hashtag to make the tweet more attractive to my audience.
Hey @jmgrygiel I just thought you should know that Pizza in Poland may not contain tomato sauce. It is common for waiters to bring over a pitcher of sauce to the table separately. Sometimes the only sauce on the pizza is ketchup 🤮 … Figure it out Poland! #Wheresthesauce #NHsmc pic.twitter.com/qkJXPIFVKp

This tweet wasn’t my most creative tweet, but it was statistically successful. The use of the #periscope was very helpful as it is a very popular hashtag that helped increase the number of impressions.

The use of video and relevancy served me well when publishing this tweet. I posted this tweet at the perfect time, if I had delayed my post by more than an hour it wouldn’t have been nearly as successful.
Jon Lester has just passed Randy Johnson and Greg Maddux on the all-time post season strikeout list. Lester is really putting the team on his back right now, The Cub's batters need to step up right now!#Lester #MrClutch #Playoffs #NHsmc
