Josh Goldberg’s Top 10 Tweets: A Reflection of personal growth and influence

Part 1:

I created a new twitter account for this course, so I began with 1 follower @jmgrygiel. I was able to gradually gain a respectable amount of followers and as of 11/28 I had 43 followers. This is a 4200% increase. Throughout the course I used various social media techniques to enhance my influence and growth, such as promoted tweets, creative hashtags, photos, engaging influencers, videos and the use of links. I received the most success in the month of November, where I experienced 4,046 Twitter impressions, which was a 15.6% increase from the previous month. I also received 193 profile visits, which is a 31.3% increase from the previous month. I also gained 19 followers in the month of a November. These statistics are very surprising because the number of tweets I published in November decreased by 6.7 %. I think that I was still able to achieve my best statistical month because I practiced quality over quantity. Promoting my tweets for the viral content challenge served me well, as it increased my impressions and my engagements. Throughout the course I have learned numerous things about social media, including what works and what doesn’t. Relevancy works and irrelevancy doesn’t work, in other words the tweets that were the least engaging were the ones that were unrelateable and had no significance to the current time when it was being posted. Timing is everything!
