Twitter was never a huge social media platform for me until I started this class. Now, I feel like I know the ins and outs of the platform and even backend analytics I had no idea existed. When I first joined this class, I had measly 7 followers. Now, I have 88 with a 151% gain. Although that may not sound like a lot, I consider it a large following for someone who does not consistently tweet, nor seek out followers. What worked the best is following startup Twitter accounts. Every time I followed one, I would get followed back with another 3 or so additional followers. My Klout score, a score that tracks your influence on social media started at 16 points and grew all the way to 60.
The following tweets are my top 10 with the most engagements:
My first one is by far my most engaged tweet. I offered to film our classes mannequin challenge and was retweeted by several peers along with the Newhouse School. Total engagements: 1,022

This tweet was my viral content challenge tweet. Our goal was to get over 30 engagements which was fairly manageable. This was made with a Twitter web card which I never used before but it turned out to be very beneficial. Total engagements: 100

My fraternity hosted a safe driving week in honor of two brothers who passed away in car crashes. I was so proud of my brothers for raising so much money, that I felt the Twitter world needed to see. I also realized that attached photos or gifs to your tweets brings up the engagement by a lot. Total engagements: 84

This tweet was the first time I uploaded my Snapchat story. The story itself was pretty funny so I felt there did not need to be much text. It also brought followers to my Snapchat which was cross-platforming my social media accounts. Total engagements: 76
