I was completely new to twitter at the beginning of the class. At the end of the semester, I now have 15 follower! Most of them are random people other than my classmates. My Klout score is currently 18, and the change over last 90 days is displayed below. Ok, I’ll admit this is rather sad… :sob:
For me, the first thing that helped to influence is just to tweet… As displayed in the chart, I believe the zigzag shaped increase in Klout score were the days that I actually twitted. With the help of Twitter analytics, it is clear to me that there are two ways to effectively increase the influence of a tweet. The first is to use popular or trending hashtags, making the tweet more visible to searches. The other way is to directly engage in conversation with the “@” mark.
I have no plan to further post on twitter. However, it’s been an amazing experience learning a new social media platform and environment, and I’ll continue to use twitter as one of my primary information source.
