#COLINKAEPERNICK
Colin Kaepernick is a name that has sparked debates across the country. As his silent form of protest against the oppression of people of color and police brutality, the athlete started the #TakeAKnee movement during the National Anthem. He was quickly joined by other athletes in support of his protest, but also faced much criticism as some deemed it disrespectful towards American troops. Donald Trump attacked Kaepernick and demanded he be fired immediately.
Both sides of the debate have joined the Twitter-sphere with their arguments — leading to a fight bigger than just kneeling during the national anthem, raising the issue of racial oppression and inequality in our country today.
#DonaldTrump's comment about #LavarBall being 'ungrateful' seems to be a running theme when white men talk about black men. Remember all the people calling #ColinKaepernick ungrateful?
Do old rich white men think black men OWE them something?

Idiots like #ColinKaepernick only give a damn about Native Americans on Thanksgiving day and Columbus day. He's such a piece of shit. #BoycottNFL #BoycottNFLSponsors

GQ named Colin Kaepernick the “2017 Citizen of the Year” and this subsequently added more flame to the fire. Supporters of Kaepernick have been pushing for him to be announced as Time’s Person of the Year.
Because #GQIsRacist #GQFailed On #GQManOfTheYear By Putting #ColinKaepernick Instead Of #JJWatt Who Helps People!

"Instead of kneeling before a football game to call attention to racial injustice #ColinKaepernick should have harassed young girls at a mall (or worse).
He should have done that—or simply been white.
Today he'd be a @gop hero."https://t.co/titfn0Hu88
