Below are top 10 tweets of mine during this semester. The tweet with the highest engagement rate (5.9%) is the selfie tweet at @EthanZ’s talk at Syracuse University. The reason for the high engagement here is probably because people who attended the talk were also tweeting and checking out what was happening using relevant phrases and hashtags. In term of media variety, 7 out of my top 10 most engaged tweets have picture/photo embedded in them. A picture speaks more than one thousand words. Pictures and photos will stand out and catch people’s attention immediately, especially in this Twitter-sphere with strict word limit. One of those tweets also include a “gif” in it. Besides from this, trending hashtags (e.g., #MotivationMonday) were also used to join existing conversations.
