Coming in at number 10,

This was part of the A/B testing assignment and this tweet was my B tweet. It was right after the Super Bowl and I found an ad that made me laugh and decided to see how it would work with the A/B testing technique.

The analytics were, 17 media views, 4 total engagements, 2 likes, 1 media engagement and 1 profile click.

At number 9,

The Twitter assignment was tweeting something about your experience here at Syracuse, and any Broadcast Major knows the struggle of finding stories in the city. This was one story that I always loved and getting it out there to my followers was something I wanted to do.

In terms of analytics, I had 12 total engagements, 3 likes, 2 link clicks, 1 reply, 1 hashtag click, and 1 media engagement.

This was the Twitter collage assignment and I couldn’t think of a better thing to do a collage than my dog. Those were two of the cutest photos I had of her and I just uploaded both from my phone.

Nothing crazy on the analytics, 10 total engagements, 5 media engagements, 2 likes, 1 link click, 1 hashtag click and 1 profile click.

At number 7,

As I will talk about later on, I found that making fun of yourself was a great way to get engagement on a tweet. It seems people like to laugh at you but in reality I think my followers could relate to me. I’ve always thought you had to be able to laugh at yourself and that’s what I was going for here.

The number 6 top tweet,

This was our first assignment within the class, to find in real life social media. This was hanging on the wall and decided to take a picture and post this for the assignment. Very easy to do.

I had some ok engagement with this, 11 total engagements, 5 media engagements, 3 likes, 1 link click and 1 profile click.

This tweet was saying something positive about other people within the class and it was nice to see people respond to positivity on social media. Nothing crazy about this tweet, just saying something nice.

Plain and simple this tweet was just uploading my picture to twitter, I think the text was where this tweet did well. A lot of my followers know that I am passionate about broadcasting and the picture certainly shows that.

This was our Twitter video assignment and being a huge sports fan I decided to show off some of the things I had in my room. It was just a simple Twitter video that was uploaded and tweeted out. I do have some very cool things in my room and I think this contributed to the success of the tweet.

Analytics wise, I had 38 media views, 31 total engagements, 15 media engagements, 4 likes, 4 replies, and 4 profile clicks.

Almost there but first number 2,

This was the creating a GIF assignment and this is where I discovered how making fun of yourself can really drive engagement. Maybe it is because a lot of my followers are in student media like me but I got a lot of love on Twitter and also outside of the classroom. People love to laugh and whenever I see this I always do.

The analytics were, 51 media views, 39 total engagements, 14 media engagements, 12 detail expands, 7 likes, 4 profile clicks, 1 retweet, and 1 follow.

Finally, the top tweet of the semester,

This tweet was for the viral content challenge, and again I went the route of making fun of myself. This was a great picture of me from freshman year and I wanted to use it in the challenge. This specific tweet was not promoted it was the original tweet before I created my twitter web card.

The engagement on this tweet was pretty high, 223 total engagements, 90 detail expands, 86 link clicks, 18 profile clicks, 13 likes, 11 retweets, 3 hashtag clicks, 1 reply, and one follow.
