Background: For the viral content challenge assignment, I wanted to create a meme that was super relatable to everyone, not just people who are my age. The other day I decided to have Annie’s mac n cheese (out of the box) for dinner. After preparing and eating I realized I had eaten the entire box. This wasn’t out of the ordinary for me, or anyone I know, it is “the norm” to eat the entire box in one sitting. I looked online to make sure that eating an entire box of mac n cheese was in fact normal for people older or younger than me, and I was right. I found on a reddit page mothers talking about their habits of eating an entire box of mac n cheese in one sitting.

After thinking further, I realized that this instance would be great for a meme because it is super relatable. When deciding on what to write on twitter I decided to use the meme frame me: _________ and ___:_____.On top of using this for the written aspect, I had to add in a visual to make it that much funnier, so why not add the iconic blinking meme guy. I have seen the meme frame (me:____ & me:____) everywhere and know how popular and relatable it is. After having my meme online for almost 2 weeks, I am confident that my campaign has succeeded thus far, but it is not over. When creating objectives for my marketing plan I used 3 weeks as a timeline, however the meme I created has received substantial attention in only 12 days. Overall my campaign worked because I was able to get over 500 views on my Imgur link and some activity on it when I originally posted it on Twitter. I think one area that did not do as well as I had hoped was getting a lot of activity on the actual tweet however I can blame that on my following and activity. On my calendar for the marketing plan I had said that I would upload the link to social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter. The links stayed up for some time but at one point they were removed due to certain posting/privacy rules on Instagram and Facebook. In all, the meme I created was relatable which allowed it to perform the best on Imgur mainly by people I don’t even know.

My final engagement number was 1,244 and no one created a derivative for my meme.
