Viral Content Challenge – Jillian Roth

Viral Content Challenge – Reporting

BACKGROUND
The background of my tweet is that I am not good at relationships but I like pizza. I would prefer for someone to deliver me pizza over being in a relationship. I am looking to relate to other people who do not have a relationship but orders pizza.

GOAL OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING PLAN
The goal of my campaign is to have my tweet go viral due to its comedic and relatable content. I hope for my tweet to be shared on various social media platforms and specifically the BuzzFeed Instagram.

OBJECTIVE OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING PLAN
I will know if I achieved my goal if I reach 20 engagements during my campaign timeline. Engagements include likes, comments, re-tweets and shares. My ultimate goal is to reach 50 engagements.

ANALYSIS
This campaign worked because it reached a small audience and was seen as relatable. This campaign didn’t work because it wasn’t reached by a larger audience and the content wasn’t that funny. Although I didn’t reach my ultimate goal of 50 engagements, I reached more than half of that goal and learned about what makes content go viral. Additionally, Adrian Rosales, Associate Social Media Strategist at BuzzFeed, liked my tweet which was exciting.
