Perspective – Post Pepsi Ad

Kendall Jenner could arguably be labeled as the least controversial of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, until this week. The twenty-one year old teamed up with soda pop company, Pepsi, to create a new advertisement. Criticism on the commercial spread like wildfire in the Twitter-verse with many arguing the ad was just as tone-deaf as it was […]

#UnitedAirlinesAssault: Quality customer service or honest mistake?

This week has definitely gone down in the week of failures for two major companies: Pepsi Co. and United Airlines. As usual, social media couldn’t let either company live out their fails in private. In true Twitter fashion, they got dragged through the fire…well, United Airlines did, figuratively and literally. On April 9, a video surfaced […]

Sorry but not sorry

Trending on twitter earlier today was the hashtag #ThingsIWontApologizeFor. To me this seemed like a very silly hashtag, and naturally I wanted to see what this conversation was all about. A lot of what people were tweeting about included not apologizing for being themselves. #ThingsIWontApologizeFor (and you shouldn't either) pic.twitter.com/ZtNYxJ4yWl — Kait 🌈 || 43 […]

Twitter and #PepsixKendall

With the emergence of tweets surrounding the hashtag #PepsixKendall, it’s pretty clear that people aren’t so happy about Kendall Jenner’s new ad. The 2-minute, 30-second commercial spreads the message that borders can be crossed and the complicated issues of race relations, Black Lives Matter, police brutality and the occasional protest can all be solved by […]

Abigail Takes Jeopardy

Search any hashtag on Twitter, and you’re sure to get what could be a full digital reality show on the topic. “Jeopardy” Is one of those game shows we watch to show off how smart we are to our family and friends. When it comes to live tweeting it though, discussing the way contestants present themselves is much more entertaining. You don’t even have to watch an episode to get to know the characters. Just check out #Jeopardy on Twitter for a blunt description of the contestants by viewers.

Let’s take this girl, Abigail, for example. Thanks to @MBTAWorkerbee, we already know that she’s a “hipster pilgrim” before we even watch the episode.

Now, I would consider being called a “hipster pilgrim” a compliment, but not everyone had such nice things to say about poor Abigail.

Go easy on her, John. She doesn’t look like someone I’d want to mess with.

Yes! Amy had the right attitude. Maybe holding the clicker that high made her feel like a confident hipster pilgrim.

This girl was watching the same episode, but she was being a little vague about who she thought was “that one annoying contestant.” I hope it’s not Abigail.

At least Asian Claire came right out and said it.

We can finally stop talking about Abigail now that Alex is ready to start the show!
